Review of the Masada and Dead Sea day trip from Jerusalem, with cable-car views, desert history, floating time, costs, and practical tips.

“Not enough time spent at Masada, didn’t get to see majority of the sights. Whole day feels like they’re trying to sell you on something or another. Lunch is forced at a restaurant/gift shop in Qumran which is overpriced and not good. Overall a cheaper way to see Masada and the Dead Sea than a private tour but you have to put up with a lot of nuisances.”

“Almost everything was awesome (highlighting the experience by itself and the guide Dani, who was an amazing ingredient of the plan). Only thing to maybe consider is the lack of clearer instructions to get to the meeting point because we didnt know that a common taxi was waiting for us in the noticed meeting point to take us to another meeting point; so we waste a lot of time and almost lost the bus because we were expecting for a bus or something similar and not a cab. Everything else, so good.”

“It was nice, Noya was our guide, she was both knowledgeable and very funny. We spent a cool day together and the hike up Masada was very nice, it took only around 45 minutes. The oasis was nice too, the dead sea was also an interesting experience even though the time was very short - we only had one hour to stay there.”

Review of the Masada, Ein Gedi, and Dead Sea day tour from Jerusalem, with honest advice on costs, timing, hikes, guides, and value.

“The tour guide was excellent. Ein Gedi was too strenuous for us and should not been done. Older people and overweight people should avoid. The bus driver was drooling over 2 Muslim girls and needed to be more attentive to the other tourists on our bus. He definitely needed to be more professional. The Dead Sea was great. Ein Gedi is a definite skip.”

“The hike was great and wanted to spend more time in Masada. Because some of Ein Gedi is closed we spent 2.5 hours at the dead sea which was too much time. The trip would have been perfect if more time were given to Masada than swimming.”

“The trip was good, but some people came to bus too late so we had not so much time at the beach (dead sea). The time allowed in Ein Gedi could have been more. We only managed to get to the waterfall even though there are many other places to visit.”
